Temp. & pH Data Acquisition Mate
Never miss any process data of temperature and pH
The DAS40 is a lightweight laboratory data acquisition and safety monitoring device, specifically designed for experimental scenarios such as chemical synthesis, biological reactions, and materials research. The DAS40 can display and record the process temperature and pH data of multiple reactions in real time, and it supports timed or temperature-controlled shutdown of experimental equipment (such as TCU, stirrers, etc.).
With four channels, the DAS40 can connect thermometers (glass or stainless steel) or pH probes, achieving 100% data collection of process temperature and pH, ensuring that no critical temperature or pH data is missed, which significantly enhances the reproducibility of experiments. Each side of the DAS40 is equipped with a protective socket for flexible connection to other experimental devices, allowing for timed or temperature-controlled power disconnection to these devices, thus significantly reducing the risk of reaction thermal runaway during overnight.
Features
· 100% Data Acquisition of Temperature/pH:
Process temperature and pH data are displayed and recorded in real time. With high-frequency capturing at 1 second intervals, critical temperature points such as crystallization and phase transitions, as well as pH abrupt change, are accurately captured, making every temperature or pH change visible and traceable, significantly enhancing experimental reproducibility.
· Complete and Traceable Data
Collected temperature and pH data can be exported via USB for complete traceability.
· Overtemperature Protection
Automatic power disconnection in case of overheating reduces safety risks during reactions.
· Time Control
The device can be scheduled to shut down at a specified time, minimizing the need for continuous monitoring during reactions.

Customer Case
100% pH Acquisition: Rapidly Pinpointing the Cause of Catalyst Poisoning
Background
A pharmaceutical client needed to use palladium on carbon for a de-benzylation reaction in their commercialization project. Key issues include:
· The reaction required a large amount of catalyst, leading to high costs.
· The catalyst used in the reaction could not be recycled.
Solutions
· Utilize the DAS40 to record process temperature and pH.
· Employ RAMAN100 to collect process spectra while establishing a quantitative model to monitor the status of products and reactants and the catalytic activity by calculating the reaction rates.
· Implement DOE study to quickly identify the reasons for catalyst deactivation.
Outcomes
· Implement DOE study to quickly identify the reasons for catalyst deactivation.
· Reduced the amount of formic ammonia (hydrogen source) used in the reaction by 40%.
· Decreased the amount of catalyst used in the reaction by 50%.
· Enabled the catalyst to be recycled multiple times.
· Lowered product production costs by 10%.
